ISDG

The ISDG represents the majority of irrigation designers in Victoria and Southern New Wales.
The aims of the group are to promote the:
− Specialised services of our highly experienced members to the community
− Best practice irrigation
− Set the standards for irrigation and drainage
− Continual education in irrigation and drainage technology.

The ISGD has been in place since 1986. We have been the preferred group for Whole Farm
Planning and associated issues for the Department of Primary Industries since our inception.
Along with private consultants we also have manufacturing and government membership giving
us a broad skills base. Our experience extends but is not limited to:
− Inception of the Whole Farm Plan Steering Community and setting the standards for Whole
Farm Planning survey and design
− Member of the Community Surface Drainage Co-ordinating Committee. Setting the
governance and standards for Community Drainage Schemes
− Supply of advice on irrigation and drainage issues to the Department of Primary Industries,
Catchment Management Authorities and local government.
